Clear rules for the chase

Terms and Conditions

Effective 1 August 2026. These terms explain how Name Numba, Quick Draw, Rumba Dash and public community features work.

Rumba the Numba

1. What Name Numba is

Name Numba is a private recreational entertainment platform. It is not an official registry, identity service, investment, financial product, gambling service or guarantee of future resale value.

2. First-name pools

Each normalised first name has its own independent number pool. Capitalisation variants use the same pool. Different first names may hold the same number because their pools are separate.

3. Quick Draw allocation

At launch, Quick Draw securely and randomly selects one unused number from the configured range for the relevant first-name pool. Number #1 is included whenever it remains unused. A number is allocated only when the final database transaction succeeds. A displayed availability check is not a reservation.

4. Rumba Dash

Rumba Dash is a recreational skill game. Scores, tiers, badges and community rankings are for entertainment. At launch they do not change Quick Draw, reserve a number or create an enforceable entitlement to a particular number.

5. Future optional paid features

Name Numba may later offer optional paid plays, additional draw opportunities, premium number-choice services, premium certificates, merchandise or other entertainment features. Any paid feature will be clearly identified before payment and may have additional terms. Existing verified allocations will remain valid on the platform.

6. Public display and consent

Registration may display your first name, allocated number, featured country, allocation method and approximate claim time on public verification, certificates, Hall of #1 and activity features. Arcade names and scores are displayed only where public-display consent is selected. Email addresses and technical security data are not displayed publicly.

7. No external ownership or value

A Name Numba does not create government-recognised identity rights, intellectual-property ownership, property title, guaranteed exclusivity outside the platform or guaranteed financial value.

8. Fair use and security

You may not automate submissions, manipulate scores, evade rate limits, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access or use another person's information without authority. We may restrict or remove abusive activity.

9. Availability and changes

We may maintain, improve, suspend or discontinue features. We will not knowingly alter an existing verified allocation without a valid operational, legal or security reason.

10. Contact

Questions, privacy requests or complaints may be sent to info@namenumba.com.

Important: These platform terms should be reviewed by a South African legal professional before paid features, transfers, auctions or marketplace services are introduced.
